Made up of seven towers, the Abraj Al Bait complex in Mecca is part of the government’s plan to develop the Saudi Arabian city for receiving up to 10 million pilgrims per year. The focal point of the complex is its clock tower, which features an elevator that takes visitors to a viewing balcony beneath its four faces. The complex is scheduled for completion later this year.
